Jessica Alba is advising a young woman in China not to get plastic surgery in an attempt to resemble her. A 21 year-old woman known only as Xiaoqing, will reportedly undergo the knife in an attempt to win back a boyfriend. Alba said that’s not a good reason to get surgery and that the girl shouldn’t do it. Just look at Heidi Montag, she got surgery and the cover of People Magazine and didn’t even sell 1,000 copies of her CD.
This is one doppelganger Jessica Alba would rather live without.
The Hollywood beauty says she is distressed at reports a woman in China plans to undergo extensive plastic surgery to look like her, in an attempt to win her ex-boyfriend back.
“I think you should never have to change yourself like that,” actress Alba said. “If somebody loves you, they’ll love you no matter what.”
A 21-year-old woman, who would only give her name as Xiaoqing, has been told she will need multiple surgeries to make her eyes and nose resemble those of the “Fantastic Four” star.
Still, she thinks the procedure is worth it to win back the heart of her ex-boyfriend, who is a huge Alba fan.
The woman says her former beau adorned the walls of their home with Alba’s images and would often hint he wished she looked more like her.
The couple dated for a year and a half but broke up a month ago when the 28-year-old’s obsession with the star got to be too much.
Now Xiaoqing, who works for an Internet firm in Shanghai, is regretting the split.
“My friends … kept consoling me, but it did not work, so they suggested I do plastic surgery to look like [Jessica Alba],” she told Reuters.
Doctors at Shanghai Time Plastic Surgery Hospital have offered to do the procedure for free to showcase their surgical skills.

If the girl is going to get free plastic surgery she’ll probably take doctors up on their offer. She’s 21 and already resembles Jessica Alba. It’s hard to see her face in the one photo I’ve seen (above) but she looks really gorgeous and is only going to screw up her face if she gets work done so young. (Again, see Heidi Montag.) Plus, changing your appearance to get an ex back is short sighted to say the least, especially when it’s permanent and irreversible. Breakups happen for any number of reasons and if a guy is superficial enough to break up with you for looks he’s not worth winning back.
This reminds me of the story of the dying girl who had plastic surgery to look like Demi “I haven’t had plastic surgery” Moore. The woman was already lovely, and she said she was doing it in order to die beautiful. Whatever happened to old fashioned makeovers and a healthy dose of self esteem? I guess there are always going to be people who are so lost and sad that they think surgery is the answer.
