At the tailend of the Cannes Film Festival, there were some rumors that Leonardo DiCaprio and Bella Hadid had caught each other’s eye. I didn’t know what to make of the rumors, honestly. While Leo was a free man, having just broken up with Nina Agdal, I sort of doubted that he would immediately latch on to It Girl Bella. Then again, she fits several pieces of the Leo’s Girlfriend Experience criteria: she’s under 25 (Bella is 20), she’s modeled for Victoria’s Secret and she’s got an amazing figure. Then again, she’s a brunette and he almost always goes for blondes. E! News ended up saying that the reports of any of Bella-and-Leo romance were false. But Star Magazine says it’s on.
A squad of supermodels had their eyes on the prize at the Fashion for Relief afterparty on May 22, but it was Bella Hadid who caught newly single Leonardo DiCaprio’s eye in Cannes.
“Leo made a point to get Bella’s attention afterward at dinner, although they didn’t exchange numbers until the amfAR gala,” reveals a source close to Bella, 20. “Bella is so stoked – they’ve been texting like crazy ever since! But she’s smart enough to play hard to get. Dating Leo would be a huge score. He’s older, but he’s still hot – all the girls think so.”

It would probably be easier for Leo to go with a 20 year old – he gets more time with a 20 year old before he has to dump her, you know? Nina Agdal and Kelly Rohrbach both got dumped soon after their 25th birthdays, so the trend might be to simply go younger. But, again, Bella isn’t a blonde. Out of the two Hadid sisters, I would have thought that Gigi is more his type. I’ve been saying that for years now, that Gigi looks like a perfect composite of Leo’s girlfriend-type. Bella gives off a more sultry/darker vibe where Leo goes for more of a wholesome, baby-faced lady. Who knows?
