I have long believed that Selena Gomez is a drama queen with her love life, meaning that she’s the kind of person who thrives on being in the middle of relationship drama specifically. She liked the fact that she got with The Weeknd two seconds after he and Bella Hadid were over. Selena loved that Bella Hadid was hurt by that. Selena loves that she still has so much drama with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber too. I lost count of how many times they broke up and got back together, and how they sang songs about each other and dissed each other publicly and how messy and dramatic it all was. So is it any surprise that Selena is still hanging out with Bieber while The Weeknd is touring?
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back to spending time together — most recently at her house with friends — but don’t make that leap yet … she’s still with The Weeknd. We got pics of Selena walking into her Studio City pad Sunday evening… about 10 minutes after Justin arrived there in his white G-Wagon. Multiple sources tell us they also hung out once last week.
The get-together at her house was not a secret — we’re told they had mutual friends there too … and The Weeknd was fully aware of it. The only reason he wasn’t there is because he’s on tour.
As for the exes — we’re told they were at the house with their pals until at least midnight … and there was nothing romantic about it. They’ve been talking — first reconnecting around the time Selena announced she’d undergone a kidney transplant … but it’s all copacetic. Our Weeknd sources dispute there was any other face-to-face meeting besides Sunday … but we’re told the singer knows Selena remains friends with Justin. Modern exes.
While I doubt The Weeknd is staying faithful to Selena while he’s on tour, I also doubt he’s totally cool with Selena hanging out with Bieber. I mean…come on. That’s a blow to any ego. “My girl is cheating on me… with JUSTIN BIEBER!” Orlando Bloom couldn’t handle it, and I doubt The Weeknd will be able to take it. But wait, there’s an additional layer!
Bella Hadid is coming between The Weeknd and Drake. Sources tell Page Six there’s tension between the stars since Drake hooked up with Hadid, who once dated The Weeknd.
“They both hang in the same Toronto crew and now they’re having to pick sides. The Weeknd performed and people on Drake’s side were like, ‘I can’t show up to that . . . Got to have allegiance,’” an insider said. “They aren’t getting along right now . . . The groups are beefing because [Drake] broke the bro code. They 100 percent hooked up.”
Sources told us Drake bought out Socialista lounge this month for Hadid’s 21st birthday. The rapper threw a bar mitzvah-themed celebration for his own 31st birthday on Monday, but the Weeknd and Hadid were absent. The Weeknd and Selena Gomez are still an item.
Ugh. My hope is that Bella Hadid is like “leave me out of this narrative” and just goes home and rides her horses. Of course, there’s always the possibility that Bella also enjoys some drama and she’s likes the fact that Abel and Drake are sort of boy-beefing over her. Personal opinion: The Weeknd sort of misses Bella. I would not be surprised at all if Abel and Bella ended up repeating at some point. This is the most dramatic Relationship Pentagon of 2017!!
