During last year’s awards season, there was significant buzz about Best Supporting Actress nominee (and eventual Oscar winner) Mo’Nique. Specifically, there was buzz about her lack of a razor. Yes, Mo’Nique does not believe in shaving her legs. At all. Even when she’s wearing fancy gowns.
Anyway, this morning Mo’Nique was one of the official Oscar nomination announcers, which in and of itself is interesting. Mo’Nique got a lot of criticism last year for not being interested in all of these Hollywood kiss-ass-and-make-nice type appearances. But there she was in a lovely ice-blue ensemble, literally kissing up to some Academy dude after he introduced her. But now the topic of conversation is: Did Mo’Nique shave her legs? I think she might have. Yesterday. Or over the weekend. But not this morning. See those little goosebump-looking things? That’s what day-old stubble looks like on us darker-skinned ladies. So why in the world did Mo’Nique SELL OUT?!? Big Razor must have gotten to her!
