Chris Hemsworth & the ‘In the Heart of the Sea’ trailer: are you into it?

Here are some photos of Chris Hemsworth at LAX on Wednesday. He was arriving in LA, probably/maybe coming in from London? We haven’t seen much of Chris or his wife Elsa Pataky for months now. I’ve assumed that the Pataky-Hemsworth family had decamped to London while Chris filmed The Avengers: Age of Ultron. But God knows. Chris is surprisingly good at being undercover when he wants to be. His wife, not so much.

Anyway, to go along with these newish photos, the brand new trailer for Chris’s film premiered yesterday. The film is In the Heart of the Sea, which is just a terrible title. I know it’s based on the real book and the real events that really took place, but the title makes me think “Titanic 2: Rose’s Heart Will Go On.” As I said, the film is about the real story of a giant whale attacking a ship in 1819. The events inspired Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. Here’s the trailer:

I’m not really into it. It seems more like a guy-movie and I’m saying that with no judgment. My dad would have loved it, I’m sure. Whenever there’s a story about boats and old-timely seamen and man battling some ancient monster (or as the voiceover says, a “demon”), I just kind of zone out. It’s not my jam. It comes out on March 13 next year. Which means…? I guess Chris Hemsworth is going to be presenting at the Oscars again this year. Yay?
